Windows 10 now gets the ability run multiple Android apps

Back in 2020, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 users will get the ability to run several Android apps via the Your Phone app. Now, key sources indicate that the feature has been launched for everybody. Earlier, the feature was only limited to Insiders.

Reports suggest that owners of select Samsung smartphones can sync their smartphones and Windows 10 PCs, which gives them the ability to run Android apps on their desktops. The ability to run Android apps on Windows 10 has been designed to be as native as possible, as users will be able to run these apps in separate windows. Besides, users can also pin these apps to the taskbar.

That said, users will need to meet certain requirements and recommendations to run the multi-apps feature. For instance, the feature requires Windows 10 May 2020 Update or later. To check and update the version of Windows on your PC, just head over to Settings> Updates & Security> Check for Update. Also, users need to make sure they are using a compatible Samsung handset. You’ll also need Your Phone app version 1.20102.132. Additionally,  Android 11.0 is required on your compatible Samsung phone to run multiple apps, as well as the Link to Windows app (version 1.20102.133.0). Also, you’ll need Link to Windows Service app version 2.1.05.2 or better, which you can find on the Galaxy Store. Finally, users need to make sure that their PC and Android handset are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

“Tap into the power of Your Phone app with Link to Windows integration on select Samsung devices to instantly access your phone’s mobile apps directly from your Windows 10 PC. There’s no need to install, sign-in or set up your apps on your PC, saving you time and hassle. You can conveniently pin your favorite mobile apps to your Taskbar or Start menu on your PC for quick and easy access. When you launch an app, it opens in a separate window outside of the Your Phone app enabling you to multitask. So, whether you need to quickly reply to a conversation, respond to your social posts, or order food, you can do it fast using your PC’s large screen, keyboard, mouse, pen, and touch screen alongside your other PC apps!” Microsoft explained.
